Principle of the Law of Alignment

Those whom God will use will have a certain condition of heart. But all the changes that come, come for a reason, because God has some people that He’ s after and a people through whom His purposes will be accomplished. Remember He said to Joshua, you have to get ready for a new way of life, a new way of operation. You cannot continue to judge by your experience or your old revelation.

Anybody who has drunk the old wine will say it is better than the new. The only reason you say that is because you are still drunk. You have to get rid of that old stuff so that you can evaluate things from a whole new viewpoint. God is saying I am going to do a whole lot of new things. I know that for so long we have been talking about a new season, a new season, a new season and some of you are saying “ho hum, we have heard all that before”. Is it possible that God has already been doing something new, but it has just bypassed you?

Now the fact that you pray a lot, read the word a lot, the fact that you are full of the Spirit yet any of those or all of them together…. Because it is going to take a new word… Let me change that a little bit. It has a lot to do with your hearing. So many times God speaks a new thing and you say “I know that already. God told me that 15 years ago….” Then you say it’ s not a new thing. It is new because this is the season God has chosen to speak it in, so we need to do some brainwashing on you first so you can receive the new thing. Now it is not because how we have operated in the past was so very bad. It is simply that there is a progressive unveiling of God’ s purpose to mankind and those things that God has specifically preserved for revelation in this season now and not before, we need to receive them as such.

While you are under construction you are actively fulfilling the mandate. Don’ t be waiting until you have all the truth,operate with the truth you already have. Then God can increase it but if you are not using that which you already have then you can’ t handle more. Because of our own lack of understanding and revelation, before the application we want a perfect church. I’ m not glorifying imperfection but in every church, after a certain time people begin defining one another, rebuking this and that, but if we shift the focus to one another from God’ s demands the devil is able to get in amongst us, and instead of external warfare we have internal warfare.

When you are involved in external warfare you don’ t have time to get involved in internal warfare. The focus is not on the imperfections of the brethren, because God often uses imperfect people to accomplish his purpose. Remember Gideon, that mighty man of valour. Remember he was the one God chose to lead the people. You ought to read in Genesis 6, he wasn’ t too good either. When the angel of God confronted Gideon he called him a mighty man of valour. Why would he do that when he was hiding from the enemy? The thing is, there was a task assigned to him that God was focusing on, not his present inability but the task that was assigned to him. Gideon, you are a mighty man of valour – you’ ve got some problems but that’ s not the problem right now.

One of the reasons why we are limited in success is that we have been preparing people for church ministry rather than for Kingdom ministry. The focus of the church is not internal but external. For people such as we are, we look for pathways to success by copying others, but God has not allowed us to find a pathway to success because we have been raised up for a distinct purpose in finding the will of God and fulfilling it.

That’ s what success is, finding the will of God and fulfilling it. (John 4:34). Not just starting it but finishing it. That’ s where success is. If we are not doing the will of God he won’ t allow us to be successful. We are a Kingdom people called for a unique purpose and the only way we will be successful is if we do what God requires us to do.

The Problem of Identity Now

I’ m giving you one of the primary reasons why we have not been successful. It’ s been a problem of identity. We don’ t know who we are and we don’ t know why God has raised us up and we compare ourselves with others. It’ s a problem of identity. To make a point I thank God there is only one John Boney. Don’ t try comparing me with anybody else – I am not anybody else, I’ m not intended to be anybody else.

1 Thessalonians 5:12,13 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labour among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

So the scripture says, you are to get to know me, to know who God has made me to you. This is the most important thing in your life apart from your salvation. The first thing is not what I teach, what is my doctrine to see if you agree with it. The question you must answer in the presence of God is who I am to you. The scriptures refer to this as discerning the body of Christ. Some of you take communion and think you need to be careful not to eat and drink unworthily.

But you see in 1 Corinthians 11:18 – there are some divisions among you, some heresies among you – and then Paul begins to unpack this thing. Whoever eats and drinks unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord, not discerning the Lord’ s body. And this is something more than a communion message.

There’ s a reason why God would use that analogy of the body. Do you know what part of the body you are? Do you know what part of the body I am? That’ s why many are weak and sickly among you and many sleep – not discerning the body. You need to get to know whom God has appointed over you because your purpose, your function here in the earth is dependent on that. For you eternity is dependent on that – discerning the Lord’ s body and knowing where you belong. Rather – where has God placed you?

The prodigal so left his father’ s house and went and joined himself to someone else. A body is not something you join, it is something you are placed into by God.The fear of God needs to return to church so that people stop joining things. Your blood type, your DNA determines where you belong. After salvation the next most important thing in your life is where has God placed you.

The Power of Alignment “Alignment”

is a law in the spiritual realm. It is inviolate in the spiritual realm, a principle that is established in the spiritual realm.
(Col 1:16-17) All things made by God. Everything in the heavens and the earth both visible and invisible were created by God and for God.Thrones are a seat of government,Dominions are lordships, areas of rulership, Principalities are the initial rule by which things operate, a guiding principle as to how things operate.

Powers are authorities

It starts with a throne and comes down to an authority which is what is ultimately necessary to keep the earth moving and operating. Authority can never be taken. Authority is always given and it is given by someone over you.

Even Jesus said in Matt 28:18 “all authority is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. Authority is given and the only person who has authority is someone who is under authority and who has been given authority to operate by someone over him. Authority does not come from anything within you, it has to be given to you by someone that you are under.

Even Jesus when he sent out his disciples in Luke chapter 9 gave them power and authority over all demons, to cure diseases and to announce the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick, but back to Luke Chapter 7, and here a certain centurion’ s servant was sick and about to die. When he heard about Jesus and the miracles he appealed to him to come and heal his servant, and he was told that this centurion gave money towards the temple and was worthy to have his servant healed, so Jesus began travelling towards his place, but then the centurion sent another message to him “I am not worthy that you should come to my house, but just say the word and he will be healed” He did not consider himself worthy for Jesus to come to him personally, but just asked him to speak the words and his servant would be healed. Then he said “I too am a man under authority. (You don’ t have any authority unless you have someone under you). I have soldiers under me, and I say to one ‘ Go’ and he goes and I say to another ‘ come’ and he comes. That is a man in authority. And command is given, and it is obeyed. (This is the evidence of authority) “I say to my servant ‘ do this’ and he does it”. This just “wowed” Jesus and He said, that he had not seen such faith even among the people who are called Israel.

Nobody is called “Israel” without a revelation of God because “Israel” is not the name of a race of people. “Israel” is a title for a people who have a certain relationship with him. The man’ s name was Jacob who had an encounter with God and God called that encounter Israel.

I know we popularly say that is “a prince with God” but a better translation is:
Ish – a man
Ra – to see
El – God

In other words, a man who has seen God in an encounter. No one can rightly be called Israel who has not had an encounter with God.

For the type of authority that we have in this season….. Authority has to be under authority, there has to be a relationship, a give and a take, because there is no authority without being under authority. Authority flows down, not up. It’ s not the voice of the people. Authority flows down because all authority begins with God.

Before God created man He created the invisible realm thrones, dominions, principalities, and authorities. They were created by Him and for Him and these are the principles by which the principalities and powers operate. Both the priesthood and the kingship operate under the same principle. The priesthood ministers to God. The kingship is the administration of the authority of God in the earth realm, the world, and both of them operate by the same principle.

God is a God of order. Authority is God’ s order, and it operates in His order or it doesn’ t operate. Anything outside the operation of God’ s order is witchcraft. Just seeking to take authority over anything when it doesn’ t come from God, is witchcraft. Seeking to replace the authority of God is witchcraft because all authority comes from above. There is no authority but that which is of God.

Romans 13:1 Let everyone be submitted to the powers and authorities for there is no authority but from God. The authorities that be are ordained of God. Whosoever resists authority resists the law of God, and those that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

This is black and white, there are no grey areas here. All authority comes from God. Any authority that does not acknowledge his supremacy is witchcraft. The authorities that be, are all ordained by God.

They have been ordained by God. In Leviticus 16:32, for the meetings here for the ordination of the priests there are 2 words, “anoint” and “consecrate”

Anointing by itself is not sufficient, you also had to be consecrated.

Anoint the priests and consecrate the administrators. To consecrate is to put something into your hand. It’ s not sufficient just to be anointed but something has got to be put into your hand.

Habakkuk 3:3-4 Ray’ s of light were coming out of his hand. Power is coming out of his hand, (power was hid in his hand) God had put something into his hand.

The authority of God begins with God and flows down. It is a life flow out of God. An authority flows through connection. When God spoke to Moses He gave instruction concerning Joshua, to lay hands on him so that he would receive an impartation of his authority with the result that a relationship was developed between Joshua and the children of Israel.
In Numbers 27:18-20 Moses had to lay hands on him to put some of his authority on him so all the congregation could see that he had his authority.

Deuteronomy 34:9 Now Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.

Joshua was full of the spirit of wisdom. Anointing does not build the house. Wisdom builds the house. Where did Joshua get the wisdom from? The laying on of hands by Moses, so all Israel fastened on to him and did as the Lord commanded Moses.

This was the law of the power of alignment. If you want the authority, wisdom, power of God to flow some man has to lay hands on you, some man with whom God has connected you. It is possible you can have the anointing, but not have the authority.

In Exodus 17 God just delivered Israel from Egyptian bondage, they’ ve crossed the Red Sea and they entered into Rephadim. (Someone once said that the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is trouble).
Verse 8 – and now came Amalek and fought with Israel in Rephadim. Where did Amalek come from? There was no problem with him in Egypt.

Numbers 24:19-20 A parable -Amalek was the first of the nation’ s, beginning, but shall perish forever. Where did Amalek come from?

Amalek was a pre-adamic principality trying to keep the people of God from accomplishing their purpose. He got nervous when he saw God deliver them out of Egyptian bondage and sought, even seeks to this day to destroy them.

You are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against principalities that come from back there in the beginning. The beginning was not with Adam. That was a beginning, not the beginning. The beginning was before that (one of the beginnings) when Amalek was and appointed himself as the enemy of God to seek to hinder the people of God.

Jesus said “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. Sometimes I have a problem with that word “prevail “ because “prevail “ indicates a battle, but it means that at the end someone will have gained a victory at the end of the battle. Ask Jacob, he prevailed, not by trying to get out of the battle, but to get something out of the battle.

This is important. Amalek came and fought with Israel. Israel didn’ t start the battle. It was Amalek who started it. We are moving into territories against principalities and powers. They want to hold on to this territory they had from the beginning, as they see now there is a threat to what they hold onto and so they start the fight. The problems are are not with people, this or that person, but with the principalities whose territory you have invaded.

By my God we will run through a troupe, by my God we will leap over a wall…….. We’ re in this battle to win. (Account of “man” at the gym wearing T shirt – never give up, never back down, never give way). God has often had to send angels to minister to me and strengthen me in the battle because we are fighting principalities and powers for territories that they have held on to.

But how do you fight Amalek?

Exodus 17:8 (KJV) 8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
Exodus 17:9-11 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

It had to be that Moses had a revelation, because it doesn’ t say God told Moses this.

Thank God for men who can receive instruction from authority. Sometimes they ask you for explanations, and it’ s not an explanation they need, it’ s obedience. And Joshua fought with Amalek. He didn’ t say to Moses, you’ re the man of God, you’ ve got the anointing, you need to go.

God has appointed some principalities for you to fight with to train you in battle because that is where the character of God is established within you. In the battle. I don’ t like some of the scripture here because it doesn’ t agree with some of my theology. God said they would have wars with Amalek from generation to generation. Why do we need to be fighting with Amalek from generation to generation? Why can’ t God just zap him on Earth? He has all power.

Because in the battle, if you learn to listen to the word of the Lord, that’ s how you grow. This is where we saw Saul changing the word of the Lord. God had said to wipe them all out but Saul didn’ t follow the word of the Lord, he exercised his own discernment. Saul had the opportunity to become king, Saul had the opportunity to become established, but that day the anointing changed even though he stayed on the throne, and a demonic spirit took him over. God has created Amalek to make you. There is a point where he will test you.

Increasing in authority and in character

Exodus 23:28-30 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
It is because the deliverance of the land depends on you increasing in the authority and in the character of God. Some of you brethren are saying there’ s no way we are going to get over it, but this is God seeking to make a man out of you. And God says I’ m going to fight against Amalek. In every generation Amaleks begin to show up to stand against the man of God. You must overcome, particularly this generation.

Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek, and both Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill. When Moses held up his hand Israel prevailed and when he let down his hands, Amalek prevailed.

Moses, what in the world does this have to do with your hand? Moses’ hands were heavy, and Aaron and Hur put a stone under him and held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other, and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomforted Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

Where did the power come from for Joshua to defeat Amalek? Look up on the hill, and there’ s a man with his hands raised. In one of his hands is a rod, and as long as those hands hit the target, the power of God flowed down through Moses and into Joshua and the people in the battlefield. So long as his hands were raised. And Moses calls this Jehovah Nisi. This is not about you getting hold of some banner and waving it. Jehovah Nisi is about a “hand”.
Exodus 17:16 | NIV He said, ‘ Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.’

Moses had his hands up. His hands were touching the throne of God and the authority of God was flowing down through Moses and into Joshua and into the children of Israel fighting with Amalek, and so long as that authority was flowing down, so long as there was the alignment with the throne of God (and Moses was the one appointed by God to make contact with the throne of God), Joshua had victory. Joshua was under his authority, obeying his word, Israel was then under Joshua’ s command, and there was a chain of command for the authority of God to flow through.

I know that the popular teaching is that we all have authority over the enemy. I wish that were really so. Your authority depends on your alignment. All authority is from God and comes from God.When you are in alignment and in obedience because there is a hand touching the throne….

Last night we had a little time of worship and do you know what happened? Because both with regard to the priesthood and the kingship there must be alignment for it to function. The high priest takes the praise (Rev 5) and he presents it to God, and then some big nose sticks out there and begins to smell the fragrance, and the aroma and his presence fills the place because suddenly there is an alignment in the spiritual realm, and the worship becomes acceptable in the sight of God.

And it is the same thing with regard to the enemy. This is the law of the power of alignment.
The Lord said to Moses “see what’ s happening here – write it in a book and rehearse it for Joshua so that he will know just how I will put out Amalek. You have to know how this thing operates to defeat Amalek. One day Joshua is sitting down on the mountain waiting for Moses to come back. Moses didn’ t come back. God came instead, and said “Hey Josh, Moses my servant is dead. As I was with Moses so I will be with you.

You shall not turn to the right or to the left, but the law of Moses shall not depart from your mouth. Which law? It’ s this law of the power of alignment because if you observe it no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses so I will be with you. God says in every generation I’ m going to war with Amalek. I’ ll raise up a man who knows the power of alignment and I’ ll have Amalek foolish enough to take him on in battle. Joshua, the same thing that happened with Moses on that mountain will happen with you. I’ ll defeat Amalek. There is not any principality there is nothing that stands in the gates of hell that can withstand the power that flows from the throne. No throne, dominion, principality, authority, there is not a single Amalek that can withstand the authority of God.
