I can attest that Apostle John Boney was truly a man sent from God. His ministry impacted our lives directly and indirectly. Our late spiritual father, Apostle Dunn met Apostle John Boney in 2007. Through this relationship, we were privileged to have met Apostle Boney who came into our region, teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom.
What stood out for me was how Apostle John would teach the Word of the Kingdom. He had an intense passion for the Word of God and sought to impart as much as he can to his audience. Because of the ground-breaking Message (the Kingdom Word), he came to deliver, I think he was always aware that many might not receive it that well. He use to say that, even if one person is impacted by his Word, it would be well worthed. The way he would sometimes pull his face during his teachings showed a love and passion for God and His people.
Away from the pulpit in casual settings, Apostle John was the most relaxed person. His laugh would fill an entire room and would capture the attention of those who heard it. His friendly way of greeting you can almost melt your heart as you can experience the love that he transmits.
I was also privileged to be in settings where Apostle John dealt with urgent matters and the wisdom that flowed from him as he provided counsel and guidance. One of these events was after the departure of Apostle Dunn and how he and Apostle Valentyn provide guidance and direction to us as the Elders of Shammah. Apostle John demonstrated that he is a covenant man because he stood by us as Elders through the difficult periods of our ministry journey. I am grateful that we could keep our relationship and covenant with Apostle John and the EMI family as we continued to submit ourselves to Apostle Valentyn.
The life and legacy of Apostle John will be honoured in the generations to come and the mandate will continue. We will treasure your memories in our hearts Apostle John. Till we meet again.
