The Life & Legacy of A Man Called John M. Boney

1947

The Life & Legacy of A Man Called John M. Boney
Apostle John Boney was sent from God on May 22nd, 1947 in St Georges, on the Island of Grenada, West Indies. He was raised up and dedicated to the Lord by his Mother Louise Pearl Boney. Rosita Caesar (Affectionately called Mammie Rose), Aunt B. Caesar in collaboration with his mother nurtured him in the things of the Lord.

John attended Preparatory, Elementary & High Schools in St Georges, Grenada.
He accepted Jesus at the age of 5 years old, and was raised in the Pentecostal Church where he became a vital part of the River Road Assembly, serving in their music and evangelistic ministry while leading teams to other neighboring Islands.

1964

At the age of 17 he migrated to the Island of Trinidad & Tobago to attend Bible College at West Indies School of Theology in Curepe from where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Subsequently, he received an invitation to immigrate to the United States of America where he attended Detroit Bible College and earned a second Bachelor of Arts & Counseling degree.

From there he attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he earned an MDIV, Master of Divinity Degree.
He did additional work through various ThD/PhD Programmes but curtailed his studies because he sensed the Lord leading him in a different direction. He had a strong leading through a dream he received that “The Time Was Short” and he needed to stop being a Professional Student.

1971

He then served (1971 -1974) in the education department of the Assemblies of God on the South-Side of Chicago and Rockford, Il. He was involved in outreach ministry to the inner-city communities.

1972

He met and married his wife Carmen Boney, Nee Leslie in 1972. They had three children, Marlene, Michael, Johanna, and one adopted daughter, Sonia.

1974

In 1974 the Lord told him to put away all his books and all he had learned and to come before Him with his Bible alone. The Lord told him that he and Sister Carmen should leave their jobs. He asked the Lord, “How will we maintain ourselves”? To which the Lord responded, “I have more than enough for you to do”. He immediately resigned from the Assemblies of God and The Woodstock Children’s Home as House Parent-Counselors to 7 Foster Sons. Then through much study of the word, fasting and prayers, The Lord began to REVEAL to him, The Gospel of The Kingdom of God, the Purpose of God in Earth.

1975

Bread of Life Ministries was birthed in Crystal Lake Illinois in 1975 and Apostle John began sharing the revelation of the kingdom there. He was very involved in the charismatic movement until the Lord told him the charismatic movement was over. He worked there and began his traveling ministry ministering in States from California to Florida, the islands and beyond.

Apostle John ministered through-out the United States and Canada with Charlie Cutts, Larry Hansing, & Bill Millett until the Lord told him to get off the Circuit.

1979

In 1979, Bill Britton, Lattie McDonough & C.L. Moore prophesied over him that he had an Apostolic Calling on his life. He was later prophesied over by Lattie McDonough to drop the ‘ic’ because he was an Apostle.

1980

Hot Springs Arkansas, The word of the Lord came that the Lord would make Apostle John as a “Thief who would go in at broad daylight and steal some of the enemies best generals”.

Beginning in 1981-1990 the family made many transitional moves for the establishing of churches. From Texas to Jamaica, Puerto Rico & Venezuela we packed our bags and went till the Lord told Apostle John to move.

1990

In 1990 Apostle John was told to leave Bread of Life and not take any one with him. Emmanuel Ministries International was inaugurated. He packed up his family and moved to Cutler Ridge in Southern Florida.

1992

The Lord tells Apostle to take a Sabbatical, pack up his home and family and go back to Illinois. During this time Hurricane Andrew came and demolished the region where they were living, but God protected all their household belongings.

He went from there to Remus & Midland, Michigan. From Michigan onward to Scarborough Toronto, Canada from 1993-1998 all along acquiring sons…male and female.

1999

Apostle John returned from Canada to Florida and the focus was to return to the place where the Lord had spoken that the ministry to the world would go out of. The base of Emmanuel Ministries International to the nations covering 5 continents of the world. At this time the Lord began to say go Northward and not back South to where we had been.

2018
